Hi and Welcome! This is really just a place for a few of my ideas and bits and pieces.
I guess I should plug the business venture I'm involved with:
Perennial Solutions Pty Ltd
OK, what do I mean by Liberated Computing?
Well, when we share intangibles, such as software or ideas,
we don't lose anything, we still retain the intangible ourselves.
This fact underpins the finest traditions of knowledge sharing,
for example amongst academic researchers. It also underpins the
philosophy behind the Free Software movement.
On most proprietary software media you will see text such as this:
Please do not make illegal copies of this CD
In contrast, here is the text from the back of an
Ubuntu CD:
You are legally entitled and encouraged to copy, share and redistribute this CD for
yourself and your friends. Share the spirit of Ubuntu!
Now that is liberated.
"Liberty is the breath of life to nations." - George Bernard Shaw.
